Notes:

When
installing the head use the following procedure for the 14 head nuts:
a.
Order
of torque is shown in Les Andrew’s book Volume I at page 1-150
b.
Run
the head bolts down and torque to 35 ft-lb
c.
Torque
a second time to 45 ft-lb
d.
Torque
final time to 55 ft-lb
e.
BE
VERY CAREFUL WHEN TORQUE THE WATER INLET NUTS
f.
After
starting the car and getting the engine hot Torque again to 55 ft-lb
g.
Drive
car about 5 to 10 miles and re-torque to 55 ft-lb
h.
Re-torque
again to 55 ft-lb after 300 miles
