INFORMATION ON USING the ROCKY MOUNTAIN A’s PHOTO GALLERY
Various Photo Albums are available for your viewing. There are a couple of things to remember.
These albums are displayed using an advanced Internet technique called “Flash”
When you click on an Album to display it will automatically download
all of the photos in the Album to your computer.
Please NOTE that ALL OF THE PHOTOS have been scanned to ensure that they do not have a virus
before uplinking to the Rocky Mountain Model A Club’s website.
1) To use the Rocky Mountain A’s Photo Gallery you must have a “Flash Player” installed on your computer
most modern computers have Flash Players automatically installed, however, if yours does not you can obtain
one for free from the following link http://www.adobe.com then select “Flash Player” from a download menu.
2) Photos are arranged in Albums which are accessed on different pages of the website. You can move from Album to
Album by clicking the “Return to Gallery” button on the LEFT and returning to the Gallery Page
3) Individual Photos can be viewed by clicking on the small icon of the photo at the bottom, you can move from page to
page using the “Page” arrows. The TRIANGLE in the center will play a slide show starting at the photo you have selected.
4) Those lucky enough to have a high speed internet connection will have a faster download time. On the average the time
from clicking an Icon to display of the album is about 5 to 10 seconds.
5) For those of us with a Dial-Up connection it will initially take about 1 to 3 minutes to download the photos in an album
and start up the Photo Album that you select. The next time you access the album ... depending on the setting of your
browser ... the Photo Gallery should pop up within a few seconds or so. Files such as photos which are downloaded from
the internet are automatically stored as TEMPORARY FILES for your ease of viewing repeated websites. If you have
set your browser to automatically delete these TEMPORARY FILES the longer load time will always be required
6) Printing ... unfortunately the computer code used to make the photo gallery does not support printing. The usual practice of
right clicking an image will only bring up a Adobe menu. The best approach to obtaining a photo is to send an E-mail to the
to me at webmaster@rockymountainmodelaclub.org telling me the caption under the photo. I can then send you a full
quality digital photo file.
HOW TO GET YOUR PHOTO(s) ON THE WEB
We NEED your photos!
If you have a series of photos of your car’s restoration or other photos
this is a good way to share them with the club, your friends and family!
We are happy to display your photos on the Rocky Mountain Model A Club’s Website
Members Photos are ALWAYS welcome.
Non-Members Photos are welcome if they pertain to the Model A Restoration, Driving, and Owning Hobby however,
non-member photo display is subject to context and club policies for display, room and time availbility.
1) All that is necessary to put you photo on the web is to send a digital photo made with any common digital camera to
webmaster@rockymountainmodelaclub.org as an attachment. Photos received will be scanned for viruses and
then electronically modified if necessary for display. No digitial photos will be returned.
2) All photos must be in a common file format called JPG, this is the most common type of digital camera output.
3) While I will take photos directly from your camera it is helpful if you will reduce the number of pixels that are in the photo
file. This is easily done, either by your camera before or after the photo is taken, or by commonly available photo
enhancement computer programs (usually provided when you purchase the camera. Common programs which can
easilly reduce the number of pixels are Corel Photo Paint, Adobe Photo Shop, and many others.
