Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Model A Club’s (the club) Website. (“Website”). Unfortunately, in this modern internet world we are constrained to live within, a privacy policy is needed. The club has a firm commitment to safeguard your privacy. This Privacy Policy statement seeks to inform you of our practices with regard to gathering information that you supply. 1) Privacy of Your Submitted Data

During the course of the use of the club’s website you may be asked to supply text, photos, images and or other media altogether known as “content” . Unless specifically otherwise stated, these transmissions of the content is known to be via the internet over a non-secure connection. The club does not make any attempt during the routing of your content to provide security of transmission. You must assume full responsibility for the content while in transit, while stored on the hosting server, and while being retransmitted over the internet if required either by any File Transfer Protocol (FTP) or by E-mail, or any other protocol.

2) Privacy of your Personal Information

The club will take reasonable steps to ensure the confidentiality of your personal data once it has been received at the club’s computers and/or at its designated representative’s computer. We will not share your personal information, except as specified below, on the club’s website in any manner unless you expressly permit the sharing of the information. The club will not share any text, photos, images and or other media unless required to do so to satisfy any law, regulation, or governmental request, or judicial order, or unless the club reasonably determines that disclosure is essential to protect itself from physical or financial harm that may result from unlawful or dangerous conduct.

To use the website for purposes of applying for membership or other types of contact between you and the club, you may be asked for certain personal information such as your Name, Telephone Number, E-mail address, physical address, and other personal data. The club will not rent, or share your E-mail address, physical address, or telephone number with anyone except as described in the exceptions noted below.

3) Other Data Collection

While it is not contemplated that the club will collect IP addresses, or utilize Cookies to track usage of the site, these common practices are not expressly forbidden.

4) Links to Other Sites

The club provides links to other sites as a convenience for you. The club is not responsible for the privacy practices or lack thereof or the content of other such websites.

5) Unauthorized Personal Information Collection

Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online, that information may be collected and used by others. If you post personal information online in a place that is accessible to the public (for example the newsletter, or classified ads), you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties. Unfortunately no data transmission over the internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, the club cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you transmit to the club, and therefore you transmit that data at your own risk. The club will take reasonable steps to protect your personal data once it has been received by our computer systems. However, it is impossible for the club to guarantee the security of its system from interference by highly skilled malicious hackers.

6) Authorized Use of Your Personal Data

The club, at this time, offers six services for your convenience. These services are expressly, an online newsletter for communication to and from club members, an online calendar of events, an online application for membership in the club, a gallery of club members and their Model A Ford automobiles, a “who can help” activity, a “tool crib” activity, and a classified advertising activity. These communication devices, club activities and Model A Ford restoration help activities are put in place for members and others to use for their convenience. In order to provide these services it may be necessary for you to allow the authorized use of your personal data, in the form of an address, telephone number, or E-mail address. When you avail yourself of these services, or supply information necessary to these activities you will be supplying such personal information, and you are expressly warned that this information will be uploaded to the website for any and all persons in the world who have an internet connection to view, and make use of, in any manner.

7) Non-User Input Data Privacy

In many cases the content of the club website will have data input by the club and not the individual club member users or other website users. This data will be protected by using the member’s NAME only. No personal data consisting of an address, telephone number, or E-mail address will be used.

If a contact with the club member is required, for an activity, for information purposes, or other purposes, then a club E-mail address with an Auto-Forward to the contact’s personal E-mail address will be used.

8) Member Roster and Photo Gallery

At this time no roster will be available on-line. If this becomes desirable in the future, it will be displayed behind a “members only” entrance using a screen name and a password.

A member’s gallery consisting of photos or images will be provided on the website. Identification of the owners of the Model A Ford images shown will use Name Only. As such this will be an album and not a roster.

9) Online Membership Application Privacy

A interactive membership application form is an online feature of the website. The form will collect personal data and transmit this data as a text file from the user, through the internet, to the webmaster (initially via E-mail). This data will not be collected directly to a database on the server. The club does not utilize a secure connection for this transaction. After receiving this information, the data may be reformatted, or otherwise altered, and re-transmitted via E-mail to one or more of the club’s officers, first by transmission to a club E-mail address, thence to the officer by an auto-forward system to his or her personal E-mail address.

It is expected that the website, in order to facilitate club members, will have a classified ad page where members and other interested parties can post “for sale” or “for trade” items. Necessarily, to conduct this type of activity, it is necessary for the user to disclose personal information, not only about the item for sale or trade, but contact information to be able to give more information, or conduct the transaction. The club has no part in these transactions in any way other than to make available the web page for displaying the information.

Alternatively, users may transmit classified ads to the webmaster via an E-mail transmission, then after reformatting if necessary the information will be posted on the website by using a file transfer protocol FTP to the server hosting the website. These transmissions are conducted over a non-secure link.

Any personal data or any other text, images, photos, or other media will be displayed in the clear, available to any and all internet users. The webmaster or other club representative will not necessarily scan the input data for personal information, or alter, or remove personal information, about the classified ad user who is submitting the data. 11) Newsletter Input Privacy Policies

The club intends to publish an on-line newsletter monthly. As such, many of the club members, officers and others will be providing input data to the Newsletter/Webmaster editor, for pubilcation on the website. This information, text, images, photos, and other media will be transmitted to the site by an FTP (file transfer protocol) protocol and thence displayed on the website for any and all internet users to view, copy, download and otherwise use. It is probable that the newsletter will contain personal information in the form of names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and other similar information, that will be used for conducting events, such as picnics, parades, tours, and other club events. Prior to publishing, the newsletter editor and the webmaster will not screen the input for personal data, alter, or remove personal data or in anyway attempt to limit the content that the member, officer, or other person is submitting to the newsletter. 12) Other Website Page Input Data Privacy Policies

The club intends to have certain other pages which will have services which are convenient for club members, friends of the club, and others. These pages will display tools that can be loaned, or rented, for information on “how to” and other information which is useful for restoring Model A Ford automobiles. At this time the club expects to identify these items and services by using the members name only. Therefore, avoiding any personal data such as telephone numbers, addresses, e-mail addresses being shown on these pages.
